Rare Automotive Controller opportunity available with a leading import dealership in the Naples, FL market.
The successful candidate is an experienced Automotive Controller who will also be a true business partner to the Dealer Principal for years to come.
This position will report to, and work closely with, the Dealer Principal.
It is imperative that the person hired has a proven track record in dealership accounting and can do the month-end financial statement in a timely and accurate fashion.
Moreover, it is important that Controller hired is a great leader to their accounting staff and is strong at communicating, delegating, training, and ensuring the proper policies and procedures are followed.
The Automotive Controller will be responsible to manage the financial activities of the dealership and ensure that financial goals are met.
This person will be responsible to close out the month, maintain accurate financial records, analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and provide financial guidance to management.
This is a great position for a Controller with an interactive management style as the dealer cares about the Controller working well with the other managers in the staff to achieve common goals.
Likewise, the dealer is looking for a Controller that sees the big picture and actively identifies cost saving measures as well as profit opportunities.
This person will oversee a team of 4 people in the accounting office, all who have been with the store 5+ years.
Experience on Reynolds and Reynolds is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the financial activities of the dealership
• Prepare and submit the monthly financial statement
• Develop and maintain accurate financial records
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
• Prepare financial reports and present them to management
• Provide financial guidance to management and assist in decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
• Oversee and implement financial policies and procedures
• Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and training
• Review and approve financial transactions
• Maintain effective communication with management and other departments
• Maintain regular communication with the Dealer Principal on the standings of the dealership, cost saving measures, and any issues that may require their attention
Compensation:
• Compensation package will be in the $180,000 - $200,000 range based on experience and track record.

Must have experience as an Automotive Controller within a new car dealership within the United States.
