Essential Functions · Responsible for the safety of all children · Actively engaged in the learning of children · Plan and implement age appropriate lesson plans · Provide direct support to fellow staff members · Ensure that classrooms are in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards · Serve as a role model to the children in the group through appearance and actions · Maintain an environment (both indoors and outdoors) that is safe , clean and inviting · Ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members and families · Keep the Director informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of children · Attend and participate in all staff meetings, center events and family meetings as requested Job Requirements and Qualifications · A love for children · High School Diploma · Pass a local and FBI background check · Experience working with children between the ages of birth to four years, and a passion for working with this age group · Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as, strong organizational skills · Must be able to actively participating in the program while ensuring the health and safety regulations are met or exceeded · A desire to further your knowledge and education in the Early Childhood field · Completion of Department of Children and Families 45 childcare training hours · Department of Children and Families Staff Credentials is preferred but not mandatory.
