*The Position*
*Seafood Associate*
Your primary responsibility will be to amaze every customer each time they come in with excellent customer service.
You will be assisting our guests with product selection, making recommendations, answering the customers’ questions about our products and also weighing/packaging and pricing product items.
*Responsibilities*
* Proactively assist customers with all requests
* Maintain department inventory and appearance through proper receiving, rotation, storage, cleaning, organization, stocking, sampling and creative merchandising.
* Ability to maintain quality and attention to deliver freshness in our products
* Maintain standards for product freshness and sanitation
* Replenishes, maintains, and rotates products and display cases
* Cutting and preparing seafood for sale
* Assist other team members in achieving the goals of the department and the store.
* Know store layout/product location to refer the customer to the appropriate aisle when asked.
*Qualifications include*:
* Minimum 2 years of retail/food service experience; experience working with seafood a plus.
* Ability to read, write and speak English
* Excellent Customer Service Skills
* Able to work flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays
* Able to pass drug and background checks
_*Work Environment/Physical Demands:*_
* Requires the ability to reach, bend, balance, lift and transport various objects weighing up to 30 pounds with a maximum weight of 50 pounds.
* Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; climb and balance on step stool/ladder; stoop, kneel and crouch.
* Ability to work under a variety of conditions and temperatures, wet and dry, for extended periods of time.
* Ability to work safely around kitchen machinery and sharp knives.
* Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays
* Able to pass drug and background checks
