*Merrill Gardens Senior Living-Barkley Place in Fort Meyers, FL is looking for a dedicated Dining Room Manager to join our Barkley Place family!*
The Dining Room Manager is responsible for all aspects of front of house service and the training of all dining room staff.
Adheres to customer service philosophy by providing excellent customer service to residents, their families, and Team Members.
*Some responsibilities include:*
* Active oversight of dining room service, ensuring proper service, presentation, sanitation, and staffing levels are maintained.
* Schedules sections and assigns tasks for all leads and servers prior to the beginning of each shift.
* Ensures the cleanliness, organization and appearance of all front of house dining spaces.
* Assists in the seating and service of residents.
* Meet with all new residents and tours, and provide an extraordinary, custom-tailored dining experience.
* Tracks and measures resident dining data.
What is included in this?
* Participates in the pre-meal huddle to review specials, provide training, and ensure uniform standards are met.
* Keeps an accurate record of meals served to residents and guests.
* Reports any unusual incidents or concerns to the EC/DSD.
* Presents a professional and caring attitude when dealing with residents and guests.
* Prepares staffing schedules and presents to the EC/DSD in a timely fashion for review and ensures proper staffing coverage for each meal period.
* Oversees the training of new staff using the Dining Services Training Guide.
* Posts a current and accurate copy of the server schedule at the front desk, staff room, and service area of the kitchen.
* Ensures compliance of company uniform policy by all dining room staff.
* Creates and posts a cleaning schedule for the dining room staff and ensures all cleaning duties are completed.
* Ensures all room service is delivered and collected in a timely fashion.
* Assists marketing department and activities coordinators in any event that includes the dining room.
* Supervises dining staff during special events organized by the community.
* Contributes to team success through positive interactions with both residents and staff daily.
* Ensures Point of Sale system is used and provides training on POS system to all dining staff.
