JOB SUMMARY – Water Quality Supervisor: Works under direction of Water Quality Supervisor to ensure that Water Quality team follows pre-established policies and procedures to ensure that the lagoon is always prepared for operation to include ensuring water cleanliness and guest and team member safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides daily direction to front line team members ensuring policies and procedures are always followed.
Assists in the development of accurate department maintenance procedures and checklists through routine preventative maintenance logs.
Assists the Water Quality Supervisor with collaborating with all vendors involved in the routine cleaning of the lagoon.
Assists in ensuring a monthly inventory of supplies, equipment, and/or products list is maintained.
Assists with maintaining lagoon filtration system including but not limited to troubleshooting pumps, filters, circulating system, chemical feeders, sanitation equipment, and providing repair and/or replacement as needed.
Maintains lagoon systems, chemical balance, flow, pressures, and sanitation in accordance with manufactures’ recommendations and/or any local, state, or federal standards and requirements.
Manages and creates the weekly schedule for all Water Quality staff.
Assists as needed when preparing facilities for special events or as directed by lagoon leadership.
Prepares any incident or accident reports and forwards them to the Water Quality Manager and General Manager.
Any other duties as assigned by lagoon leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year experience in an aquatics related position including experience with cleaning chemicals and practices
Minimum of 1-year supervisory experience.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Must be able to swim.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to adapt to change, including adherence to strict budget and labor guidelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
Ability to work in water and in all weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally & up to 30 lbs.
