_To provide a safe, efficient, and reliable transportation program to all *UMAC* students.
_
*_Responsibilities:_*
* Provide a _safe_ environment on your vehicle, and operate the vehicle in a _professional_ manner.
* Provide _pre_ and _post_ trip inspections as required by the _State of Florida_.
* Inspect vehicle daily for any mechanical defects and for adequate fuel and oil levels.
* Notify management of any discrepancies found during routine inspections.
* Attend any and all scheduled _*UMAC*_ training sessions.
* Maintain an _acceptable driving record_, while maintaining Driver's license and/or CDL certification intact.
* Obey all federal, state, and local traffic laws, and ensure the safety of all passengers.
* Follow and enforce all disciplinary guidelines as set forth by management.
* Maintain discipline when students are aboard your vehicle and report undisciplined students to management.
* Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of your assigned vehicle.
*_Qualifications:_*
* All applicants must possess a _valid Florida Drivers License or CDL License_ in good standing.
(endorsements a plus)
* All applicants must possess an _acceptable driving record_.
* All applicants must have the ability to pass a thorough background screening.

* Applicant should have prior knowledge of local streets, highways, landmarks, and schools located within their assigned route.
* Applicant must maintain a professional image compatible with *_UMAC_* guidelines.
* Must have a willingness to work respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds.
* Must have the ability to solve problems involving students, school personnel, equipment failure, emergency situations, etc.
* Must have the ability and the willingness to substitute for any driver in the Transportation Department.
* Demonstrate integrity on a personal and professional level.
*_Hours:_* _Employees must be available to work *Monday* through *Friday*; from *1:30* pm to *5:00* pm_.
