*Responsibilities:*
This position assists members and guests when entering and during the exercise / workout sessions at the Fitness Studio.
Encourages and motivates others to exercise and maintain healthy lifestyle Assists in the smooth operation of the fitness facility by performing the following duties:
* Creates a great member/guest experience through excellent client service, interpersonal relationships and communication.
* Welcomes and greets guests and members upon entry to the facility.
* Maintains sign in sheets and collects any guest fees due.
* Ensures waiver forms are completed by and collected from any guest to the facility.
* Maintains water, fruit, towels and fitness supplies.
* Cleans fitness equipment routinely and bathrooms as needed.
* Maintains health history forms and workout charts for members.
* Checks and responds to Fitness Studio and Spa related emails as appropriate.
* Answers telephone and assist members, checks and responds to voice mail and takes accurate messages for fitness management.
* Gives orientation of facility to new guests or members.
* Assists with keeping the facility clean; vacuuming, sweeping, wiping windows and mirrors.
* Responsible for all opening and closing procedures.
* Regular in-person attendance is required.
* Other duties as assigned.
*Skills and Abilities:*
* Knowledge in all areas of fitness preferred.
* Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other associates; resolve conflicts and problems courteously and tactfully.
* Maintain appropriate certifications as needed and requested by law including CPR/AED certification (from a nationally recognized agency); or obtained within two (2) months of employment.
*Educations and/or Experience:*
* High school diploma, and fitness knowledge.
* CPR certification and health club experience preferred.
