Massage Educator

As a Massage Educator you will be responsible for curriculum, instruction, and will be an integral part of the student educational experience.
The educator will provide engaged instruction; conduct program course, and student outcome assessment; and advise and support students.
*Responsibilities and Duties* * Works with Program Chair to promote continuous improvement on quality of instruction.
* Will be responsible for the evaluation of student learning and provide evaluation methods appropriate to outcomes; evaluate student learning and provide evaluation methods appropriate to outcomes; evaluate student learning in a fair manner; maintain accurate record of evaluation and coursework, including attendance; and submit grades.
* Work with Program Chair to promote continuous improvement of quality of instruction.
* Serve as a mentor to students * Asist with student orientations * Assist the Program Chair to support course consistency in accordance to the approved syllabi and lesson plans.
* Attend regular meeting with the program chair * Participate in team activities * Assist Program Chair to resolve student issues * Assist in maintaining inventory and equipment, software and supplies in the clinic and classroom with cleanliness of the clinic/classrooms as directed.
* Monitor classroom and student safety immediately report concerns to Program Chair * Be aware of school catalog, faculty handbook and student handbook, and understand all the procedures and expectations stated within it as policies stated therein.
* Maintain industry contacts for instructional and employment purposes * Keep abreast of industry changes through participation in industry events and regular involvement in professional organizations * Adhere and support school policies and procedures as referenced in the employee handbook and catalog * Participate in faculty meetings, in-services, professional seminars, etc.
* Attend student orientation and Graduation ceremonies * Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Program Chair or Director of Education *Requirements* * Regular and reliable attendance * Documented expertise in the academic subject area as demonstrated by data sheets, diplomas and certifications * Expertise in interpersonal and oral presentation/written communication skills * Minimum of two (2) year industry experience * Appropriate licenses and/certifications depending upon discipline as per accreditation and state licensing standards * Licensed Florida Massage Therapist * High School Diploma or GED Job Type: Part-time Pay: $19.
