For the Vintage Hi-Fi Aficionado- Finding new homes for some vintage audio from my collection.
Utah 3-Way Horizontal Floor-Standing Speakers - Late 60’s I believe, clean, 12” woofer (#D12P), 10.
5”x4” horn midrange (#H-068), 7.
25”x3” horn tweeter (#H-208), Jensen crossover (#NX-640, 600Hz and 4000Hz crossover points, L-Pad for tweeter).
These appear to be home-built speakers- Utah was a top supplier of raw drivers for DIYers back then.
These look to have gone through a few iterations, perhaps at one point including an internal amplifier.
The port tubes appear to be a later addition, not sure if they are proper for the woofers.
My reading and study of these drivers indicate the woofers are capable of coaxial operation.
Though the enclosures are cosmetically fair at best, they are solid.
The drivers are robustly constructed, functional and in excellent condition.
Great sound for speakers that could be nearly 60 years old.
Perhaps good candidates for a new DIY project.
I acquired these components second-hand, and I have been through them thoroughly with a good cleaning and minor repairs.
I can demonstrate functionality for you.
