Australian shepherd in need of rehoming- does not do well with senior dogs.
Needs to be in a home without a senior dog.
Has become quite aggressive toward a senior, and put that dog in danger.
Seems to target the “helpless” in socializing settings as well, seeming to lean toward now senior dogs.
Preferably to a home where he will be involved in agility/ active sports.
There is a rehoming clause with original breeder so a contract will need to be signed with the appropriate home, or he is to be returned.
House trained, potty trained, crate trained (if needed), knows commands such as “wait,” “sit”, “paw,” - not leash trained well, but food motivated.
Needs:
If other pets, Preferred female dog companions (hadn’t been around many males, but does seem to try and overpower males in particular) does well with all female dogs he’s met.
No cats (status with cats in unknown, but needs a home without other small animals to ensure his forever home and no incidents)
Preferably someone with a stay at home job or someone that will be at home with him a lot of times.
No small, loose animals
older children only to handle his temperament.
No small children, approximately 9-10 years old as youngest.
No senior dogs
Preferred agility training program to compete/ given a serious job
Fenced in yard
Cannot show due to mismark of white ear, which is why he is sold as pet.
Also he has been neutered, but he can compete in active dog sports
