Escrow Officer
Duties:
- Manage the escrow process from start to finish, ensuring all necessary documentation and funds are collected and disbursed accurately and timely.
- Review contracts, loan documents, and other legal documents to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate a smooth closing process.
- Prepare closing statements, settlement statements, and other financial documents.
- Calculate prorations, interest, and other financial figures accurately.
- Maintain accurate records of all escrow transactions.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Escrow Officer or similar role in the financial services or mortgage industry.
- Proficient in loan origination, loan processing, and mortgage servicing.
- Strong knowledge of TILA (Truth in Lending Act) regulations and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Excellent 10-key typing skills and ability to perform basic math calculations quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with escrow software systems and proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, lenders, real estate agents, and other stakeholders.
