The position will be based on North Capriva Island, a vacation paradise.
As such, the role will involve extensive engagement with island residents and visitors, prioritizing active interaction over desk-bound duties.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property operations, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the property, ensuring it is well-maintained and in compliance with all regulations
- Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure the property is safe and secure
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, renovations, and other property-related projects
- Maintain accurate records of all property-related activities, including leases, maintenance requests, and financial transactions
- Advertise and market available units to attract prospective tenants
- Screen potential tenants, conduct background checks, and verify income and rental history
- Prepare lease agreements and enforce lease terms
- Collect rent payments and manage delinquent accounts as necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience in property management or a related field preferred
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Knowledge of property maintenance practices and procedures
- Proficient in data entry and computer skills, including Google work space
- Familiarity with property management software (e.
g.
, OneSite) and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Ability to effectively communicate with tenants, contractors, and vendors
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Knowledge of legal administrative processes related to property management
