Leasing Consultant

Description: Department: PMG Asset Services Reports to: Business Manager FLSA: Non-Exempt Job summary: The Leasing Consultant is the face of the community and is responsible for the sales and customer service of the community by building relationships with prospective residents and introduces them to our community lifestyle and high level of service.
As a leasing consultant, it is your responsibility to meet with prospective residents, make a connection through a friendly smile or handshake and show them why they should select our community as their home.
Job responsibilities: Including but not limited to Interview prospective tenants and record information to ascertain needs and qualifications.
Accompany prospects to the model apartment and discuss size and layout, available facilities and services, and terms of the lease agreement.
Answer incoming calls and return voicemails in a timely and professional manner.
Show apartments and answer prospective residents’ questions about pricing.
Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit.
Verify applications and follow up on applications including resident screening.
Follow up on prospects and leads.
Inspects the condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance.
Maintain prospect records using proprietary online tools.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years leasing and/or sales experience in a rental community.
Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office, Rent Manager experience a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Outgoing personality and enjoy working with the general public.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain effective working relationships with contacted agencies, co-workers, and the management team.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
