Remote or Naples based position: The Director of Marketing Communications has experience in global marketing communications and is responsible for strategic planning, implementation, measurement, and optimization of communications programs that cross the reach of the shoulder arthroplasty business.
This position develops marketing communications programs in the US that are on strategy and reflective of the company’s brand image, with the goal of increasing education and engagement between Catalyst and its surgeon customers, sales force, and distributor partners.
The Marketing Communications Manager champions development of marketing communications processes, partners with the corporate and product marketing business segments to develop communication programs and initiatives that capitalize on focused growth and position Catalyst as a leader in shoulder arthroplasty.
Responsibilities: · Closely partner with Marketing to develop, prioritize, and implement a comprehensive communication and promotion strategic and tactical plan to support key marketing initiatives to drive growth.
· Position MarComm as a strategic resource and trusted advisor to the extended sales force, building credibility by adhering to communications policies, along with bringing fresh marketing communications ideas that support and advance the goals/objectives of the business.
· Develop, execute and manage collateral, comms, and media development in support of priority communications strategies in the following focus areas: product launches, web and digital communications, social media, e-mail campaigns, trade shows, video/animation production, advertising, website content management, internal communications and leadership communications support.
· Support and manage PR activities as well as actively search out press/interview opportunities in leading medical market communication platforms.
· Support Corporate Leadership with creation and distribution of press releases, investor relations, and shareholder letters and communications as needed.
Develop and manage sales/distributor newsletter focused on product communication, collateral resources, and educational opportunities on a consistent basis.
· Develop and manage relationships with any outside vendors in support of Marketing and MarComm activities and ensure work meets quality, brand, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
· Manage an integrated e-communications platform in support of internal and external communications as well as support Medical Education/Sales Education LMS training communications, along with coordination for educational courses and OR SITE visit opportunities.
· Champion brand-positioning efforts in support of the corporate brand standards.
· Utilize data to track success, make decisions, and increase digital marketing program effectiveness.
· Champion promotional labeling process and leverage proven best practices and techniques, as well as emerging trends and technologies.
· Work closely with internal Graphic Design resources for generation of all content related to above.
Qualifications: · 10+ years of successful marketing communications experience in the medical device market, additional benefit if in shoulder arthroplasty space · Strong cross-functional, project management and leadership skills and the ability to influence across all levels and functions of the organization · Expertise in development and execution of integrated marketing communications plans · Experience working with Product Marketers and graphic designers for creation of collateral and educational content · Experience with social media, press release logistics, integrated e-mail communication platforms · Successful history of supporting a medical sales force as a communications liaison with Marketing and Medical/Sales Education · Ability to translate complex concepts into simple and intuitive communications · Strong creative perspective to bring fresh ideas to product positioning and marketing campaigns · Excellent written and verbal communications skills · Comfort with a fast-paced work environment · Familiar with a variety of the orthopedic field's concepts, practices, and procedures · Project and team management experience · Ability to travel a minimum of 10% · Education: Bachelor’s degree
