Responsibilities: - Oversee the estimating process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness - Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements - Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop cost estimates and budgets - Utilize construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid, to prepare detailed cost estimates - Analyze project scope and identify potential risks and opportunities - Conduct research to gather data on labor, materials, and equipment costs - Prepare bid packages and submit proposals to clients - Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers - Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and implement cost control measures - Collaborate with the project management team to ensure accurate budget tracking and forecasting - Provide guidance and support to the estimating team Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred) - Proven experience in construction estimating or a similar role - Strong knowledge of construction industry practices, codes, and regulations - Proficiency in construction estimating software, such as HeavyBid - Excellent analytical and mathematical skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications - Effective communication and negotiation skills - Strong organizational and time management abilities - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
