JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical Electrical Plumbing (MEP) Technician performs diversified installations, operation, inspection, testing, preventative maintenance, and repair duties for the following areas; Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration; electrical lighting, power distribution, appliances, security and communication systems, plumbing, steam and medical gas systems throughout the system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned.
· Receives work orders and coordinates work to fit schedule.
· Maintain the facility heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration and related systems.
· Respond to calls from facility departments requesting assistance.
· Perform preventative maintenance on related equipment.
· Install air conditioning, refrigeration, temperature, humidity control systems.
· Make daily rounds of building and related equipment.
· Respond to emergency call-in situations.
· Maintain facility nurse call system, paging, mechanical alarm and medical gas system.
· Repair electric motors, controllers and aux electrical devised.
· Isolate and repair defective electrical and control circuits as required.
· Check and repair lighting systems.
· Maintain and repair central clock system.
· Repair and replace defective plumbing equipment including natural gas, medical gases, heating systems, sewer and storm drains, various pumps, hot and cold water tanks and systems, drain cleaning and steam piping.
· Inventory stock and requisitions supplies to maintain adequate supplies.
· Maintain CATV cabling system throughout the system and troubleshoot to determine where problems may have occurred.
· Assist the fire alarm testing company as needed to maintain the facility fire alarm system.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of High School or GED required.
· Trades License and/or certificates preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of skilled trade experience required.
· Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
