Work Place Description:
Mostly outside.
Generally hot and humid weather in summer months.
Must work in inclement weather conditions, including freezing conditions.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for the care, maintenance and operation of equipment and equipment attachments to a tractor to mow, herbicide, fertilize, disc, spray, hedge, etc.
Trains others and fills in for others when needed.
Understands geographical locations and numbering of fields.
Requires minimal supervision.
Other Job Functions (include but are not limited to):
Must be able to read and be capable of mixing proper amounts of chemicals for spraying herbicide of pesticide materials as instructed.
Performs other duties as may be required from time to time.
Essential Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Must be able to read, write, understand, and follow instructions.
Must have thorough knowledge and skills of all agricultural equipment used.
Ability to operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
Ability to keep proper and adequate records.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in the operation of all agricultural equipment.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
unassisted (including, but not limited to, various attachments and related equipment parts).
