The Project Manager position provides architects and/or managers with the opportunity to lead the implementation and development of Studio+’s exceptional design and technical services expertise for top national and international healthcare providers, senior living developers, educators, and commercial corporations.
The experiences gained as a Project Manager will be crucial for developing skills and techniques imperative for a successful career at Studio+.
*Qualifications* • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years of experience in the role of project manager.
• History of leadership roles in project management, client relationships and satisfaction, bidding and permitting procedures, construction administration services, scheduling, development of project budgets and tracking profitability, production, coordination, and delivery.
• Preferred candidates should hold a Bachelor of Architecture (B.
Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.
Arch) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current architectural license in the state of Florida and NCARB certification preferred but not required.
Studio+ expects prospective candidates to be actively involved the architectural licensing process.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD , Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
Studio+ was an early adopter of BIM and uses Revit on all projects.
• Additional drafting, illustration, and rendering experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of architectural principles, practices and techniques as well as standard operations, policies and procedures of a firm within the A/E industry.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, codes, and regulations.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills.
• Accountable to meet all project objectives and performance expectations of position including profitability and design excellence.
• Ability to engage in a collaborative workplace, which may involve working alongside fellow architects and maintaining professional relationships with clients.
• Excellent mentoring and leadership skills including working comfortably with varying personalities and communication styles.
*Tasks outlined, but not limited to those listed* • Provide creative architectural solutions to various project conditions by drawing on expertise built on experience and education.
• Manage and coordinate project teams of varying sizes and disciplines, effectively leveraging the strengths of the individual team members to guarantee project success.
Provide direction and leadership.
• Collaborate with Studio+ leaders to set standards for all production all deliverables including design and construction contract documents and drawings.
• Regularly meet with clients, contractors, and governing officials to ensure client satisfaction and project compliance.
• Responsible to guarantee projects are completed on time, within budget, are of highest quality, and always exceed client expectations.
• Maintain project specific files, including meeting minutes and notes, financial information, client correspondence and project schedule.
• Maintain communication with all project team members, Managing Principals, CFO, CEO, and Front Office.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards.
• Assist in preparation of fee proposals and agreements with the client , owner, and consultants.
• Ensure project delivery and quality from programming through project closeout.
• Assist in overall architectural studio and front office management.
• If required, act as primary client contact and establish or maintain client communications to ensure satisfaction and repeat work.
• Assist in the identification of new project leads, implementation of strategic plans to ensure commissioning of new or repeat work, and develop A/E professional services fees and agreements.
• Assist in the selection of staffing for project teams.
• Supervise and support design staff, conduct reviews, participate in quality control processes and assist in establishing training activities and professional development.
• Assemble documents and drawings for review during the quality control phase of each project and assist in the submittal process to permitting agencies.
• Manage and participate in all phases of projects including schematic design, design development, construction documents, technical specifications, bidding and negotiation, permitting, quality control, value engineering, and coordination of engineering disciplines.
• Research materials to determine appropriate selection for project.
• Lead all Quality Assurance and Quality Control processes for all assigned projects.
• Assisting project managers, project architects, and production staff to ensure excellence in design.
• Report the status of all assigned projects to the Studio Leader/Associate Principal to ensure availability of manpower and resources.
• Supporting the Studio Leader/Associate Principal in overall Studio+’s Quality Control processes to assure excellence and enhance risk management procedures.
