CFS Roofing Services, LLC is looking for an organized and detail-oriented person that is experienced or willing to learn.
This person will fill the position of Safety Coordinator.
This role helps to minimize the risk of job-related accidents.
You will enforce company health and safety guidelines, inspecting work places and products to ensure they are up to safety standards, and providing workplace safety training.
Ensure the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OSHA) guidelines to reduce work-related injuries.
Reports to the Safety Director.
You must be okay with climbing ladders and getting on top of roofs and must obtain a clean driving records.
Spanish and English is a MUST.
*Responsibilities*
* Monitor and visit job sites to conduct safety inspections on personnel, equipment and materials
* Advise on provisions to minimize safety risks
* Lead accident investigation procedures
* Respond quickly to reports of safety incidents, manage investigations, and remedial actions
* Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
* Establish and maintain good working relationships with the peers, management, and site personnel
* Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
* Prepare and conduct safety training sessions for employees
* Implement safety policies, procedures and programs in compliance with company, local, state, federal, and OSHA rules and regulations.
* Conduct risk assessments as mandated by the Safety Director
* Maintain documentation of the company's safety procedures, accidents, and related events
* Perform other duties as assigned or needed
*Qualifications*
* Bilingual- English/Spanish verbal and written
* Valid Driver's License, required
* Essential to have a working knowledge of construction safety and loss control, including OSHA, DOT and workers’ compensation insurance
* Proficient in MS office
* Ability to build productive relationships with field and management team
* Ability to accurately perceive safety issues using senses
* High levels of independence and assertiveness, and high ethical standard
* Able to work independently and assertively with a high ethical standard
* Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented, self-motivated, and ability to multi-task
* Strong communication skills, both oral and in writing
* OSHA 30 Certificate required within 90 days after start date
* Experience with construction safety programs
* Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
* Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
* Climb up and down stairs and ladders
* Able to work in heights

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.
