Extrusion Operators oversee and control machines that mold thermoplastic materials around a wire conductor.
The role involves setting up and operating wire/cable extrusion machinery to produce insulated cable products.
Candidates with wire and cable manufacturing experience are preferred, but applicants with other relevant experience are encouraged to apply!
This role operates within a controlled manufacturing environment that is optimized for sustained production.
While performing the duties, the employee will frequently be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
This is a full time position working the 2nd shift: 2PM- 10PM M-F.
*Primary Responsibilities*
* Follow all safety protocols and utilize equipment and materials correctly.
* Meet production standards by conducting quality inspections in accordance with ISO procedures, following process guidelines and manufacturing specification sheets.
* Troubleshoot manufacturing processes to adhere to production schedules and meet customer deadlines.
* Maintain orderly and legible production records, both written and digital.
* Collaborate closely with fellow operators and supervisors to coordinate tasks, discuss production issues, and exchange information for the production of high-quality products.
* Maintain regular attendance and work a full-time shift schedule, with the flexibility to work overtime if required.
* Regularly involved in repetitive pushing and pulling motions with wire cable materials.
*Requirements*
* Ability to work onsite in our Naples, FL facility.
* Ability to work 2nd shift M-F 2PM- 10PM.
* Ability to lift, carry, and relocate objects/ materials weighing approximately 60 lbs.
Ability to differentiate colors.
* Posses extreme attention to detail.
* Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry required.
* Familiarity with handling various plastic compounds and materials used in the production of custom and high-quality products strongly preferred.
* Previous mechanical experience.
* Prior experience in wire and cable strongly preferred.
