We are looking for a Painter to join our team!
*Summary*
The Painter will be responsible for painting all surfaces of the community, to include walls, doors and cabinets.
Additional responsibilities include mixing paints, matching colors, preparing surfaces, as well as assisting in the maintenance department when needed.
*Qualifications*
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
· At least two (2) years residential or commercial painting experience required.
· Individuals must be able to read, write, and speak the English language and be able to communicate effectively with residents, family and staff.
· Make independent and good judgment decisions within proper policy and procedures.
*Essential Functions*
1.
Paint the interior as well as the exterior of the building, to include common areas, hallways and resident rooms.
2.
Responsible for mixing, matching and applying paint to various surfaces, completing touch-ups and other small projects.
3.
Protect any community and/or resident furnishings before and during every paint job, including carpets, cabinetry, outlet covers, lighting fixtures, and landscaping.
4.
Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by using sandpaper, scraping and removing old paint and repairing holes.
5.
Work in collaboration with other professional painters on larger paint projects.
6.
Consult with Facilities Director regarding appropriate paint colors for new areas or changes to current paint colors.
7.
When directed by the Director of Community Operations, assist with the maintenance of preventive maintenance records on each residential unit, utilize work order system to assist and track all repairs, assist with maintenance of all areas of the community, and assist with servicing community equipment.
