Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team.
As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing various carpentry projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and timely completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction, possess excellent leadership skills, and be proficient in a wide range of carpentry techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters to complete projects according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans to determine project requirements
- Estimate materials, time, and labor costs for each project
- Coordinate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
- Perform various carpentry tasks including framing, masonry, tile laying, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, drywall installation, etc.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Fabricate and install cabinets, countertops, shelving units, and other custom woodwork
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets industry standards
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools
- Proficiency in construction estimating and project management
- Experience in masonry work, tile laying, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, drywall installation
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively
- Knowledge of CNC machinery is a plus
- Basic electrical knowledge is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
