Construction Superintendent interested in a new opportunity for a Significant General Contractor in Southwest Florida.
This company is recognized as a top 10 GC in the south Florida market and specialize in ground up and or renovations of commercial sectors such as hospitality, multifamily, healthcare, automotive, education, senior living, retail etc.
They have recently been contracted to complete a ground up hotel in Estero Florida and are in search of a Construction Superintendent to lead this project to turnkey.
The winning candidate must be able to lead projects in excess of 20mm and either is local to or able to travel to Estero daily or relocate.
Hospitality experience is a plus.
This could be a per project hire or a long term opportunity depending on what type of opportunity you are seeking.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of construction projects from start to finish
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications
- Monitor progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Review and interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to project requirements
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success
Skills:
- Proficient in construction management software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, ProCore, and Prolog
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices
- Familiarity with contract management and negotiation
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
