Job Description: Roofing Site Surveyor
Reports To: Estimating Director
Classification: Exempt
General Description:
The Roofing Site Surveyor will be responsible for collecting all photos, accurately measuring roof dimensions and data required for a proper and complete assessment of the existing roof and creating a budget and/or proposal to maintain and/or replace the roof system.
The Roofing Site Surveyor will work in conjunction with multiple departments within the Commercial & Residential Roofing Division to ensure the success of the assigned project.
This position will require travel to various locations where the Company may be performing work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assess conditions of the job site upon arrival
Take detailed measurements of roof planes, vents, dormers, and chimneys
Recognize and notate the existing roof's material through taking core samples of the existing roof's material.
Capture detailed images of the roof, obstructions, damages, etc.
Prepare accurate notes of said measurements, obstructions, damages, etc.
Verify the accuracy of the data that was retrieved by reviewing the job site thoroughly
Upload site assessment documentation into the cloud storage software and CRM in a timely manner
Work with multiple departments within the Commercial Roofing Division throughout the lifetime of the project to ensure the success of the project
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision
Strong time management skills required
Comfortable working with a variety of technological hardware and software
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, etc.
Must be highly punctual and organized
Must have great attention to detail
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to resolve problems independently
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or general education (GED) required
Some college preferred but not required
