The Sheet Metal Prefab Superintendent will supervise and coordinate the material for and activities for the prefabrication of all sheet metal projects.
Job Responsibilities:
Interpret specifications, blueprints, submittals and job orders as needed for the prefabrication of our projects.
Assemble procurement orders for materials, equipment and tools required for manufacturing and installing prefabricated assemblies.
Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules using J-I-T Just in Time production planning and/or Last Responsible Moment planning.
Analyze and resolve work problems through collaboration with Regional Managers, Superintendents and Foremen.
Maintain time records.
When necessary, make cost estimates.
Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
Understand, or be willing to learn and apply, Lean principles and processes.
Work closely in conjunction with VDC department to coordinate, review and finalize shop and detail drawings.
Develop and implement job specific prefabrication plans to include bag and tag, pre-assembly, and logistics.
Shows a passion for improving the delivery of solutions with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) throughout the life-cycle of every project.
Implement course corrections when KPIs signal below average project performance.

Strong ability to coordinate within the project teams to get buy-in for prefab as well as to improve efficiencies across all of departments.
Other duties as deemed necessary by department manager to provide profitable sheet metal and company results.
Minimum Requirements:
· Strong understanding of SMACNA, Florida Building and AHCA codes.
· Adept working with coordinated shop drawings from BIM as well as remodel projects with only contract drawings.
· Knowledge of labor tracking.
· Completion of apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience preferred.
OSHA30, CPR/1st Aid, Qualified Rigging and Signaling, Forklift, Fall Protection, Scissor lift.
· Ability to effectively use Navisworks, Autodesk360, Bluebeam, MS office.
