This role is integral to the smooth and profitable execution of work performed by Dragonfly Pond Works.
*Responsibilities*
Working under the supervision of the Crew Leader, the Technician is responsible for completing all assigned project work as part of the team.
This position is a physically demanding field-based position that requires critical thinking, teamwork, and an emphasis on safety.
* Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and efficient manner
* Frequent use of slope mowers, string trimmers,pruners, blowers, chainsaws, and other hand tools
* General use of mini-excavator, skid steer, and corresponding attachments
* Perform manual labor tasks with hand tools as needed
* Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
* Complete repairs and maintenance on ponds, lakes, and other stormwater control measures, including: Turf establishment, mowing, planting, invasive plant treatment or removal, hand or machine excavation, grading, erosion repairs, tree removal, and site stabilization
* Communicate effectively with supervisor to ensure successful job completion
* Monitor site activities of coworkers and lead by example to encourage maximum productivity and safe work practices
* Attend and participate safety meetings such as safe driving of company-owned vehicles trucks (with or without trailers) and other OSHA topics.

What you need*
* Background and experience in lake/pond maintenance, landscaping, commercial mowing, erosion control, stormwater control measure maintenance, and repair
* Ability to lift 80 pounds on a routine basis
* Ability to regularly work on slopes, around water, and in variable weather conditions
* Ability to work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks
* Must practice safety with chemicals and equipment
* Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record and pass a criminal background check
* Must have good communication skills and the ability to motivate others
* Must comply with Dragonfly's policies and procedures
