ROADWAY PROJECT MANAGER - Ft.
Myers, FL
Under general direction, this role includes assigning, coordinating, reviewing, evaluating, and participating in the work of roadway design staff responsible for the design and construction of various roadway projects; managing roadway design and multi-discipline projects; interacting and communicating directly with clients; and to do related work, as required.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
Serves as a project manager for various roadway and multi-discipline projects; interacts regularly and directly with clients to coordinate goals, objectives, design, schedule, and budget; provides input to strategic decisions to Group Leader, Division Leader, and Market Sector Director; trains, develops, and evaluates staff who are responsible for providing roadway design services; scheduling and assignment of Charlotte roadway design staff workload based on targeted productivity for assigned staff; assist with developing employee development plans including training recommendations for Charlotte roadway design staff; and performs related work as required or as directed by the Ft.
Myers Office Leader or Regional Leader.

Effectively train and evaluate staff.
Design, review and prepare engineering plans and specifications for transportation improvement projects for various municipalities and FDOT projects as needed.
Prepare cost estimates for engineering projects.
Apply principles of logic and scientific reasoning to develop and evaluate alternative courses of action and recommend appropriate solutions.
Prepare clear, concise technical engineering reports.
Establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, internally and externally.
Prepare, review, and monitor project schedules, scopes, and budgets for transportation projects and communicate this information to staff and supervisors, as required.
What you'll need
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and/or Professional Registration preferred.
10-15+ years in field related work experience and/or Certification in related field acceptable.
Experience managing capacity projects for local municipalities
Management duties include budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction, and staff management.
Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, professionals and your team members.
Valid driver’s license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
