We are currently seeking a Crew Lead Apprentice to join our Team in Ft.
Myers, FL.
The Crew Lead Apprentice assists with the mechanical portions of residential solar installation by organizing, performing safety equipment placement, arraying layout, racking installations, and placing modules and acts as the next-in-line after the Installer Crew Lead.
Scope of work:
Follow required safety processes and procedures
Confirm proper inventory has been pulled for installations
Execute proper layout, assembly, and installation of solar systems
Identify any potential hazards on the job site
Interpret solar panel installation plans, follow engineering drawings to ensure the solar system is installed and wired to meet local and state code requirements.
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair solar systems, seal, and weatherproof solar installations
Complete other duties as assigned
What you need to be successful in this role:
Follow required safety processes and procedures
Confirm proper inventory has been pulled for installations
Execute proper layout, assembly, and installation of solar systems
Identify any potential hazards on the job site
Interpret solar panel installation plans, follow engineering drawings to ensure the solar system is installed and wired to meet local and state code requirements.
Install, inspect, maintain, and repair solar systems, seal, and weatherproof solar installations
Learns all duties from the Installer Crew Lead including but not limited to completing required checklists and following safety protocols
Acts as immediate supervisor for installations if the Installer Crew Lead is unavailable and as necessary
Mount the Inverter, Disconnect, Sub Panel (if required)
Perform wiring and termination per the approved CAD plans
Install and pair cell kit
Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle Records Check
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions (heat and cold)
Ability to work on rooftops (flat, angled, and sloped), crawl spaces, and attics
Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout shift
Experience using power tools, hand tools, and measuring instruments
Proven leadership skills while maintaining a positive attitude with various personality types
Self-starter with advanced organizational skills
Proven dependability and punctual attendance
Experience in roofing, electrical, and/or general construction, preferred
Experience in solar panel installation, preferred
