Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineering Construction Inspector to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with approved plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
As a construction inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and safety standards of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and building codes.
- Review project documents including drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Monitor construction activities such as excavation, foundation work, concrete pouring, structural framing, electrical installations, plumbing systems installation etc.
, for adherence to design standards.
- Identify any deviations from approved plans or code requirements and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
- Document inspection findings accurately using standardized forms or software applications.
Collaborate with contractors and project managers to address any issues or concerns related to quality control or compliance during the construction process.
- Conduct material testing when necessary to verify compliance with specifications.
- Provide guidance on best practices in construction techniques and materials selection based on industry standards.
Effective communication skills both written and verbal when interacting with contractors/teams regarding inspection findings/recommendations.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field is preferred.
Relevant certifications may also be considered (e.
g.
, Certified Construction Manager).
- Proven experience working as a civil engineering construction inspector or similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations relevant to civil engineering projects (e.
g.
, local building codes).
- Familiarity with various types of civil engineering projects such as roads/highways infrastructure development; water/wastewater treatment plants; bridges; buildings etc.

- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills for identifying non-compliance issues during inspections.
